Yay! Favorite Ingredient Friday!! Woo-hoo!!
This recipe coms from m sister, with the warning "this is soooooo yummy!" That is no lie. Everybody who's had this LOVES this, and my husband positively craves it. I made it for a weekend with the boys he had, and apparently it was gone in the first afternoon, with men... Grown men... Taking pieces and hiding them from each other so they didn't have to share.
Thank goodness it's super, super, super easy to make. :)
Sopapilla Cheesecake
2 cans crescent rolls
3 8 oz. cream cheese
2 cups sugar, divided
1/2 stick butter/margarine, melted
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat the oven to 350.
Spread one can of crescent rolls in bottom of 9x13 inch pan. Mix together cream cheese, 1 1/2 cup sugar, and vanilla. Spread on the crescent roll layer. Unroll second can of crescent rolls on top as top crust. Pour melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough. Mix the remaining 1/2 c sugar and 1 t cinnamon and sprinkle it evenly over the top. Bake 350 for 30 minutes. Cut into 2" squares.
Serve hot or cold or with caramel topping.
As usual, don't forget to visit Overwhelmed with Joy for everybody who participated this week! There's some delish stuff over there... :)

I'm sure others have mentioned this but the dark background makes it difficult to find where to comment.
